Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Trove ("Trove," "we," "us") is a recipe app operated by Ade Studios LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Trove, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your email address, name, and a password (stored securely in hashed form by our authentication provider).
- Profile information — your chosen handle, display name, and an optional profile photo.
- Your content — recipes you save or import (including titles, ingredients, directions, notes, photos, and the source links they came from), collections, meal plans, and grocery lists.
Information created as you use Trove
- Social activity — who you follow, and recipes you save. You control whether a saved recipe is visible to others or kept private.
- Usage and device data — app interactions (such as screens viewed and features used), app version, device model, and operating system version, collected through our analytics provider to help us understand and improve the app.
- Technical data — limited information such as IP address processed by our service providers to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To provide and sync the app's core features — saving and organizing recipes, meal planning, and grocery lists.
- To power community features you choose to use, such as public profiles, following, and shared saves.
- To import recipe details from links and videos you add (the source URL is sent to our extraction service to pull in ingredients and details).
- To understand usage, fix problems, and improve the product.
- To protect the security and integrity of the service.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers. We share information only with service providers who help us run Trove, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
- PostHog — first-party product analytics (used by us to understand app usage; not used to track you across other apps or websites).
- Railway — hosts the service that extracts recipe details from links and videos you import.
- Apple — distributes the app and processes any purchases.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Trove and its users.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your recipes, collections, and profile data.
Your choices and rights
- Access and update — you can view and edit your profile and content in the app.
- Privacy of saves — you choose whether a saved recipe is public or private.
- Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Trove is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
